The 2026–27 UEFA Nations League marks the fifth edition of the competition. Running from September 2026 to June 2027 and features 54 national teams across Europe. The tournament continues its mission to replace low‑stakes friendlies with meaningful, competitive fixtures between similarly ranked nations, while also feeding into qualification pathways for UEFA Euro 2028
The competition is divided into four leagues (A, B, C, D) based on the 2024–25 Nations League rankings. Leagues A, B, and C each have 16 teams split into four groups of four, while League D has six teams in two groups of three.
Teams play home-and-away round-robin matches within their groups, with League D teams playing four matches and others six matches.
