We have a major problem, and the government fails to see it or does not want to see it. The influx of illegal migrants has really taken off over the past few weeks. The small boat people now travel further across the channel to get here.
Over the last 5 days, we have seen 1620 illegal migrants cross the channel to get to the UK. In 5 days, Piddington camp will be fully filled, and there is much more space needed to house asylum seekers.
But the government and police made a misjudgment in Gosport the other night. They locked down the whole area so they could move 4 coaches of illegal immigrants to Kent. Waves of police escort vehicles, bikes, cars, and vans. The streets were lined with police.
But imagine less than 200 migrants on 4 coaches causing a town of 80,000 to be put into lockdown. But there are wider implications to this.
With so much police presence, what was the criminal element doing? All these officers were used to escort and shield 149 illegal immigrants when frontline police are at a premium.
Hundreds of police were on duty in Gosport for 149 boat people. Police harassment was rife on the night, with pensioners having to show ID to go home.
Which irresponsible chief constable ordered this operation? Overkill seems to be in operation. 80,000 people locked down for 149 illegal migrants.
But now the important part: two-tier policing. This whole situation has two-tier written all over it. The whole of Gosport was a criminal’s paradise during this operation. The safety of Gosport was in question during the lockdown.
All this fuss for 149 migrants and approx. 150 protesters. It’s madness: the protection of a few illegal immigrants versus the safety of a town like Gosport. Does anyone else see it?
